Yael stone, who is a New York City-based Australian resident, was the character Lorna Morello in Orange Is the New Black in 2013. Yael earned a bachelor's degree from NIDA. Yael was fortunate to be able to collaborate with the best storytellers in Australia. She's worked behind the scenes in television, film and theatre. Yael's work is well-known throughout Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was pleased to have found her new home after the Brooklyn Academy of Music, which was the venue where the production premiered to high praise, was the place she now calls New York City. Yael was co-founder at The Cannery. It is based in Bushwick Brooklyn and works from there to support innovative creativity, new writing.
